I know some of you have outstanding kit orders and wish to give you an update. Following feedback last season that the shirts were too heavy, I have been looking into different options over the winter and this was based on continued sponsorship.
I was notified yesterday that unfortunately last season's sponsors can no longer committed to the continuation of sponsoring the club. I was obviously holding out on ordering the kit until this was known. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Marc at Connect for all his assistance in the past and wish him all the best going forward.
There are options open to us including continuing with Warsop and the current design, choosing an 'off the peg' solution with on line club shop managed by a third party or a new design including choice of weight of cloth.
Each option has plus and minus points of the new options these include lack of choice (basically plain with 1 coloured piping) and increased cost of the off the peg design, approx. £25-30 a shirt or for a new design; delivery time (not expected till July) and the club having to hold stock.
I personally would recommend the new design option from Kukri which would look like the below and cost just under £20 to each member.
