Tour 2022

First Match

Eastwood CC took part in a one minute silence and wore armbands, in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, before beating hosts Wembdon by 6 wickets. Matt Feather starred with bat and ball as he took 2 wickets and hit an unbeaten 36. Drabble top scored with 37 not out.

Wembdon 152 for 8.
Tomlin & Feather 2 wickets a piece.

Eastwood 155 for 4 off 33 overs.
Drabble 37 not out, Feather 36 not out & lovatt 27.

Second Match

Eastwood CC Touring Party made the trip to Bagborough CC today looking for a second win of the weekend. Skipper Patel asked the home side to bat and they amassed a measly 265/8 in their 40 overs. Eastwood never looked like chasing it down as wickets fell regularly and they were behind the rate almost from the off. However, a magnificent century from Bill Lovatt (116), ably supported by Matt Feather (39) meant the opposition started to panic. Sadly it wasn’t enough as Eastwood slipped to a 32 run defeat, for the loss of 9 wickets.
