Well, as we are now well into November, the 2024 cricket season is all but a distant memory! It was, however, a very successful year on the field for Eastwood CC, with all of our Saturday League sides and our Evening League team finishing in the top four of their respective divisions! Our Youth Teams also had a great season, and will look to build on that in 2025. The biggest thing to celebrate this year, however, was that we were able to get FOUR Saturday sides out regularly. This is the first time this has happened in more than a decade! We even managed to get a fifth team out one week! (Yes, Mark, we know you managed to beat Kevin’s Fourth Team convincingly!).
Going forward we will be sending out monthly newsletters, to ensure all members stay up-to-date with everything happening at Eastwood CC. If anyone would like to contribute to the newsletter, or if there is any content you wish for us to include, please email eastwoodcc@ymail.com.
Presentation Evening 2024
Our annual Presentation Evening was held at Belfairs Sports and Social Club on Friday 1st November, where we were able to celebrate the achievements of some of our member’s for the 2024 season, as well as recognise those who have gone above and beyond for the Club.

Youth Section
As was mentioned at the Presentation Evening, our Youth Section is the future of Eastwood Cricket Club! As it continues to grow, we need more help to ensure we are able to provide them with the best possible experience. In 2025 we are aiming to turn our Youth Setup into more structured age groups.
Kevin Robinson (ECB Level 2 Coach) is managing the Youth setup at Eastwood Cricket Club, and he has some assistance from other club members, however, additional help is required with managing teams, winter and summer coaching, scoring and umpiring matches during the summer.

Notice is hereby given for your attendance at the Eastwood CC AGM, which will be held on Friday 17th January 2025 at Belfairs Sports and Social Club.
Please arrive by 19:00 for a 19:30 prompt start.
We will be electing members to various roles on the Committee, Sub-Committees and Captains. If you are interested in taking up any of these posts, or would like to find out any information as to what is available, please seek out a member of the Committee asap. Similarly, if you have any specific agenda items you wish to raise on the evening, please contact Tim Ward.

The 100 Club is a lottery, with three monthly cash prizes on offer. It helps to raise valuable funds for the Club, helping us to keep our subs and match fees as low as possible! The December Draw will have TWO WINNERS for each cash prize, meaning you have more chance of pocketing some extra cash in time for Christmas!
